? எப்போதும் விரைவில் மகிழ்பவரும் சிவ வடிவானவருமான உமக்கு நமஸ்காரம்.
? எப்போதும் பிழைகளைப் பொறுப்பவரும் ஸுக வடிவானவரும் ஸுகத்தை அளிப்பவருமான உமக்கு நமஸ்காரம்.
? கிடைத்தற்கரியதும் அறத்தையும் பொருளையும் பெறுதற் பொருட்டமைந்ததுமான இந்த மனித உடலை எவர் மூலமாக அடைந்தேனோ அத்தகைய பித்ரு தேவருக்கு நமஸ்காரம்.
? எவருடைய தர்சனம் தீர்த்தம்,ஸ்நானம், தவம், ஹோமம், ஜபம் முதலியவற்றின் புண்ணிய பலனாக அமையுமோ அத்தகைய மஹாகுருவுக்கும் குருவான பித்ரு தேவருக்கு நமஸ்காரம்.

? பித்ரு தேவரின் புண்யமான இந்த ஸ்தோத்ரத்தை எந்த மனிதன் முயற்சியோடு பித்ரு ஸ்ராத்தத்திலும், தன் பிறந்த நாளிலும் பித்ருவின் முன்னின்றும் படிக்கிறானோ, அவனுக்கு ஸர்வஜ்ஞத்வம் முதலியவற்றில் அடையக் கூடாதது என்று ஒன்றுமில்லை.
? ஒரு மகன் பலவிதமான தீய செயல்களைச் செய்த போதிலும் பித்ரு தேவரை ஸ்தோத்ரம் செய்தால் அவன் பிராயச்சித்தம் செய்து ஸுகமடையலாம். பித்ருக்களுக்கு ப்ரீதியை செய்த அவன் எல்லாக் கர்மாவிலும் தகுதியுடையவனாகிறான்.

In Subhkruthu sammvathaaram the Mahaalaya Paksham period got advanced in Aavani month itself and spills over to Purattaasi. In normal course, Mahaalaya Paksham happens only in Purattaasi. Now, if pitru shraddham occurs in shraddha thithi during Purattaasi, does it mean that the Shraaddham should be performed first and then the Mahaalaya Paksha Tharpanam. Kindly note that by the time the Mahaalaya Paksham period would have elapsed too. This is one question. The next is, the birth of Purattaasi for the Subhkruthu year was on 17/09/2022 and the Mahaalaya Paksham will come to an end on Purattaasi Ammavaasai day ie.,25/09/2022, which means 9 days of Mahaalayam paksham was/is available in Purattasi. If the Pitru Shraaddha Thithi in Purattaasi comes after the Mahaalaya Paksham, does one needs to perform the Shraddham first and then Mahaalaya Paksham or the vice-versa

Actually, people have misconceptions that reciting Vedas mantras would affect the childbearing capacity of a woman. Neither do the Vedas nor Hinduism discriminate against women. In Hindu scripture Tandya Brahmana there are some mantras which can only be recited by women.

Dear Somasekar. In the Pitru sthuthy slokam itself it says: PITHURAGRE STHITHOPI VA which means: பித்ருவின் முன்னின்றும் படிக்கிறானோ, that is it can be recited even when your father is standing before you. Some one may correct if I am wrong please. Thanks; Namaskaram – R.Lakshminarayanan(Aged 83).

It is not advisable to recite this slogam after doing guru pooja.
